Day 3: Melbourne

Departs: Daily, 8:00am to 7:30pm (approx)
Highlights: Get ready for an exciting day of visual wonderment and one of the best coastal drives you will ever experience! Your day tour with Gray Line along iconic Great Ocean Road takes in spectacular coastal views of long sandy beaches, rolling surf, precipitous coastal cliffs and river inlets. Travel through popular resort towns Anglesea, Lorne, Wye River, Apollo Bay and Port Campbell. Our stops iniclude a beach walk at Gibson's Steps, Twelve Apostles boardwalk, Loch Ard Gorge and Island Arch. A refreshment stop is made at Port Campbell before heading inland back to Melbourne.

(b) The Penguin Parade - Penguins Plus (384)
Departs: Daily, 1:15pm to 9.30pm - 11:30pm (dependant on season)
Highlights: Phillip Island is a treasure trove of Australian Wildlife; seals, koalas, kangaroos, wallabiew, birdlife and penguins! Visit Churchill Island where you can explore this working farm or simply enjoy ocean views from the cafe. At Koala Conservation Centre, look for koalas in their natural habitat and before sunset, we head to the Penguin Parade where you can wander through the "Penguin Experience" exhibit to learn more about them. Walk out to Summerland Beach and take your seat for the Penguin Parade with premium viewing area for best views of the penguins' arrival.

(c) Sovereign Hill (380)
Departs: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, 8:15am to 5:30pm
Highlights: Travel the stage coach route of the 1850's along Western Highway to Ballarat, steeped in history with the discovery of gold. Tour through this gracious town with its exquisite gardens, noble statues and magnificent architecture. Pass by the Eureka Stockade, site of the 1854 miner's rebellion. Spend the rest of your day at Sovereign Hill where Ballarat's first 10 years after the discovery of gold in 1851 is re-created. Try your luck at gold panning in Red Gully Creek or head underground on the Red Hill mine tour. Don't forget to visit the Gold Museum too!.

(d) Yarra Valley Wineries (344)
Departs: Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, 10:00am to 5:45pm
Highlights: A late morning departure, travel through serene forest of the Blue Dandenong Ranges to the Yarra Valley. At Fergusson's Winery, satisfy your hunger with a spit roast lunch that Louise Fergusson will carve and serve you. Lunch includes a glass of wine and the opportunity to taste more at the cellar door. A dessert treat awaits at Yaar Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery and a tasting follows at award winning Rochford Wines. Complete your day with a visit to boutique family owned winery, Dominique Portet, for a tour and tasting with complimentary cheese and crackers.

(e) Wildlife Encounters (377)

Highlights: Wildlife Encounters is exactly what you will experience at Healesville Sanctuary but not before a generous spit roast lunch at Fergusson Winery. To satisfy your sweet tooth, sample some chocolates at Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery. Then it is on to Healesville Sanctuary, home for over 200 species of Australian birds, mammals and reptiles all set in a natural bushland setting. It is such a delight to walk around! Explore the city using the free city circle tram and visit the SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium and Eureka Skydeck 88

Test your nerve at "The Edge". a glass cube that slides out from the building. with you inside!
